Brand new for 2012, the Elddis Crusader Shamal is a luxurious four-berth single-axle tourer. This caravan features a spacious end bathroom complete with a domestic-style shower unit, the new Thetford auto-fill electric-flush toilet and a granite-effect basin. Two fixed single beds to the rear and a convertible double at the front all have wide-opening spring-assisted beech wood slatted bases allowing for easy access too. Meanwhile, the kitchen area is fully-equipped to rustle up a hearty dinner, with the granite-effect sink for cleaning up afterwards. Plenty of storage, an extractor fan, Spinflo oven, three-ring hob and external barbeque point all add to the high-quality features boasted by the Shamal.
A very stylish model, the Crusader Shamal has chrome fixtures and fittings throughout, boasting the same specifications as the larger twin-axle Crusader models. A Heki Deluxe tilting rooflight in the main area and an additional rooflight in the washroom give the caravan a light and airy feel, while the sprung upholstery adds to the comfort. Hardwood cabinetry and the ‘Chocolate’ bamboo-effect heavy-duty flooring add to the feeling of luxury.
The Shamal is an all-weather model, with Grade III thermal insulation and an Alde Hydronic Compact 3010 programmable combi heating and water system providing top-of-the-range comfort. The new streamlined body shell cuts down on fuel consumption when towing, while the sports alloy wheels add to the classy look of the exterior. A range of entertainment features are supplemented by optional extras, but include a freeview TV with integrated DVD player and USB input as well as a sound system which supports CD, radio and iPod.
